Which Country Might End Up Censoring The Internet?

Time For Another Blog Rant

I've been hearing, seeing or reading a lot of crazy and ignorant statements lately and it's really starting to piss me off. Had a coworker the other day say that poor people choose to be poor. Excuse me? Yes, there are poor people out there who do choose that life style. But on the other hand, there are people out there who did not choose that lifestyle at all. They did everything right according to the American Dream and lost everything when the economy crashed. They do not choose to be poor. And when I tell people that they say that "They should just go out and find a job." Oh really? We have a 4 to 1 ratio when it comes to people looking for a job and jobs available. How the hell are you supposed to find a job when it comes to that type of statistic? Plus, not all jobs out there give you a living wage. I have no idea how people manage to live off of minimum wage. I know that I sure as hell can't. For over a year I made below the poverty line and it sure as hell wasn't a fuckin cake walk.

They just can’t do it with the support of the school, because that’s a violation of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. The “public school prayer myth,” fueled by Christian fundamentalism and embraced by Republican political theology, rears its head just about every day somewhere in the country even while regularly ordering graduation ceremonies to be held in churches. But that’s gist for another article....."
