Tea Partiers And GOP Christians Respond To Criticism With Death Threats

Tea Partiers And GOP Christians Respond To Criticism With Death Threats

Why does this not surprise me. I wonder what version of the bible these people are reading.

"If you rejoice in revenge, torture and war , you cannot say you’re a follower of the guy who explicitly said, 'love your enemies' The next line isn’t 'and if that doesn’t work, send a titanium fanged dog to rip his nuts off.' He has lines like, 'do not repay evil with evil,' and 'do not take revenge on someone who wrongs you.' Really, it’s in that book you hold up when you scream at gay people."

If someone upsets me, or disrespects me on one of the areas that I post, I simply stop responding to them.  I tell them I will no longer respond to them, and then don't.

These people are simply crazy, if one of the news anchors I was watching, go me so fired up, that peaceful protest wasn't enough, I would go home and calm down.  God is not a Republican, or a Democrat.  He is on the side of Love no matter where it is.  He asks us to Love our Enemies.  Pray for those who persecute you.

Bill Mayer who does not believe in religion, he is more able to say what it is about than the people who claim to follow Christ. That is truly sad.

I've gotten to that point with people like that because it isn't worth the effort or time responding to them. And most of the time those people can't even back up their views.

A lot of these people seem to forget that God is on the side of love whether your Christian or not. They need to go read John 3:16 some more if you ask me.

When atheists understand the bible better than some Christians do that is a bit sad. It should be the other way around. But I'm glad there's people out there who do know it and don't try and twist it to fit their point of view.
