To me he will always stay captain Picard, but nevertheless this personal statement is very powerfull. I hope many more well known people will come forward with their own statements. It's time domestic violence is recognized for what it really is: something that should never happen. Not from males to females, but also the other way around. For let's be honest, women can also be very vicious.
You make a good point Lydia. It should be unacceptable on all levels. And if more people made statements about it, it would really help raise awareness about what goes on behind closed doors.
