John Hagee Says Hate is the Only Way to Save America

John Hagee Says Hate is the Only Way to Save America: "It wasn’t enough to persecute Paganism out of existence from the fourth century to the thirteenth, to launch pogrom after bloody pogrom at the Jews or crusade after crusade at the Muslims, or to exterminate people who disagreed with them from among their own religion until the Enlightenment put an end to holy wars in the name of Christ. It wasn’t enough to declare crusades and inquisitions and slaughter and oppress and torture with bloody glee for the better part of seventeen centuries.

It just wasn’t enough.

No, John Hagee wants to double down on the oppression and persecution. He expressed his feelings quite strongly in a special on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) called Faith Under Fire (not to be confused with the old PAX-TV show hosted by Lee Strobel).

Funny thing though. It seems it’s not “faith” that’s under fire here, but the lack of faith. But hey, the inquisition was just trying to help folks get their beliefs straightened out. In other words, don’t worry about the logic – there isn’t any. Only hate. Lots of hate...."

Um, last I knew Jesus was all about love. Apparently these people love the Old Testament more than the New Testament. And people are always pointing fingers at the Muslims. Give me a damn break. There are quite a few groups of people who say they are 'Christians' and yet act this way. There are a lot of groups in general who act this way. All of this stuff right here is why I'm a fan of Jesus, but not of His fan club.

John Hagee is a crazy old man, who doesn't represent Christians any more than Charles Manson is representative of Americans.  Right now, it is easier to hate in this country than it is to say no, I will not hate.  I will help my neighbor.
