Verizon Convenience Fee: Customers To Be Charged $2 For Paying Bill Online Via Credit Card: "In a move that is sure to upset some customers, Verizon has announced on its website that it will start charging a $2 convenience fee "for customers who make single bill payments online or by telephone."
The $2 fee will apply to those who pay with credit or debit cards on a per-statement basis, either through the company's website or by telephone, and the company says that the fee is designed to offset the cost that credit card companies charge Verizon for processing payments....."

Same thing here! But my contract isn't up until September :(
For now, I'll join everyone else in sending them paper checks to be a pain in the ass.
