Jesus & Buddha
I got told today that Buddha is the devil. I don't think so. There's teachings of his that go along with what Jesus taught. Same thing when it comes to Islam because I'm sure that there's teachings of Muhammad that go along with what Jesus taught. So how can it be evil? I'm just getting tired of these radical Christians that say everything that's different than the Christian religion is evil and is the devil. What happened to tolerance and not judging others?

If the Declaration of Independence says:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Can we even legally say that gay marriage is illegal if it's in our Declaration of Independence? Because if all men (and women of course) were created equal than we cannot say that one group of persons can't have the same rights as another group because then our Declaration of Independence would be null and void.
Well at least that part of it, and possibly other parts.

Bill O'Rielly & 'Drink the Kool-Aid'
So I recently found out that when O'Rielly 'strongly disagrees' with someone's views he tells them to drink the cool-aid or says they're drinking it. I wonder how many of his viewers even know where that comes from because I ran into one who didn't realize where it came from:

A reference to the 1978 cult mass-suicide in Jonestown, Guyana. Jim Jones, the leader of the group, convinced his followers to move to Jonestown. Late in the year he then ordered his flock to commit suicide by drinking grape-flavored Kool-Aid laced with potassium cyanide. In what is now commonly called "the Jonestown Massacre", 913 of the 1100 Jonestown residents drank the Kool-Aid and died.
One lasting legacy of the Jonestown tragedy is the saying, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.” This has come to mean, "Don’t trust any group you find to be a little on the kooky side." or "Whatever they tell you, don't believe it too strongly".
The phrase can also be used in the opposite sense to indicate that one has embraced a particular philosophy or perspective.

My Thoughts on the GOP, TP & 'Big Government'
There's a lot of GOPs and TPs out there who think that our government is way too big and think it should be cut. Because they apparently think that:

- Helping the poor, the needy and the less fortunate is something the government shouldn't do.
- Standing up to the health insurance companies is wrong.
- Raising taxes on the rich is a bad idea.
- Holding the debt ceiling hostage is ok and raising it is a bad idea.
- Medicare and Social Security are the devil.
- Basically anything that helps people who really need it or 'hurts' the rich is a bad idea.

I saw this on the Bitches Guide to Etiquette site. The site is not as bad as it sounds. It's a site that stands up for women and discourages the double standards that are out there. If you get a chance to check it out you should. There's some good stuff on there.
