Why can't I get interest rates that low? Especially since I've never caused a huge market crash. And I would like to know why were giving non-American companies money. Someone needs to take over the Federal Reserve and get it straightened out.

Paul Rand voted no because he felt it wasn't extreme enough so I would throw him in with the YEAs. There are a few GOP members who did vote it down. But for all of these people who voted yes on this, we now know where they stand when it comes to the American people and the Middle Class. And they should no longer be in office when they're up for reelection. If anyone wants to share this please feel free to do so.

GOP Refuses To Give Relief Money To Tornado Victims
What a bunch of dicks. This just really pisses me off. Take money out of the defense budget for Gods sake and help these people! Or take it out of the oil subsidies or raise taxes! Or you could just do it! If this is how we treat our own people I can only imagine how we're going to end up. This is a really sad day in America when politicians are holding disaster relief hostage.

A Fair and Progressive Budget for America
Sanders is another one of my favorite Senators. He's pretty awesome and I love that he's standing up for the Middle Class instead of the Corporations. I also like his budget idea. It sounds a lot better than the GOP plan.

Democrat Wins G.O.P. Seat; Rebuke Seen to Medicare Plan
Democrat Wins G.O.P. Seat; Rebuke Seen to Medicare Plan - NYTimes
This just goes to show anything is possible. As long as the GOP keep pushing extreme measures like this (and like the one earlier today when it comes to helping tornado victims) they're going to make it so much easier for the Democrats to win. It will still take some hard work but I think things are starting to look up for now.

How Many Gays Must God Create Before We Accept That He Wants Them Around?
If God creates kids with Downs Syndrome, Autism, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis and countless of other diseases then how come He can't make gays? And it's not often you hear a person from the GOP standing up for gay marriage. I wonder if that makes him a liberal republican.

Gov. John Kasich Says Any Extra Money Shouldn't Go to Local Governments - Cleveland
I really wish Ohioans were able to recall this guy. He is sitting on a billion dollars and he won't help out the schools or local governments. One of the hardest hit cities will be Cleveland and they're already struggling enough as it is. And I know some school districts that are struggling too and funds getting cut won't help at all. And on top of all of this he is encouraging voters to vote no for school levies. Oh and he'd rather use that billion dollars for the rainy day fund or tax cuts. But we all know he's going to use it for tax cuts since he loves them oh so much. I can't believe we have 3 1/2 more years of this guy. </3

I first saw this video on Motivated In Ohio's blog. It's one of the funniest versions of American history that I've seen and it still puts a smile on my face every time I watch it. But at the same time it is a serious matter because there are so many people in America who don't know their history.

Fourteen Defining Characteristics Of Fascism By Dr. Lawrence Britt
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottoes, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forgo civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
