Carrying a Gun Increases Risk of Getting Shot and Killed - News Scientist
I think that there needs to me more emphasis in this country on if you pull a gun in a warranted situation that you have to use it. I think too many people get guns and aren't willing to use it once it's pulled. We also don't have enough stuff on gun safety when it comes to kids. There's been kids who take them to school and kill their classmates on accident when they're in the first grade! It's crazy.
I think having hand guns, rifles and shot guns are ok but you don't need an AK-47 to go kill a deer. Or any automatic gun for that matter. I think the NRA gets a little too 'gun crazy' at times.
And for those people who are freaking out about crime rates going up or how high the crime rate is, I wonder if they've taken the time to stop and think about what this country is doing to help those rates go up. The federal government is cutting money for law enforcement, states are cutting money for law enforcement and money for local governments, some states are crippling law enforcement by taking their union rights away, we have high unemployment and we're cutting entitlement programs to help those people who are unemployed. What do they expect to happen?

"Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must - must - redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent healthcare is by definition re-distributional."
