To me it's irritating when people say that the only two people to die for you are Jesus and the American Soldier. What about firefighters, EMTs and Police Officers? Too often they are taken for granted. Lets not forget the work that they do everyday to make sure that the rest of us are safe.
Note: I'm not in anyway saying that our soldiers don't do amazing things too, but lets not forget about the other heroes in our lives.

"Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must - must - redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent healthcare is by definition re-distributional."

Good point. While I am all for honoring our soldiers, let's honor them by not sending them to war for oil. Let's honor our firefighters by having the Zadroga Act cover cancer.
On second thought, let's honor every man and woman who works for a living, and let's not honor the thieves on Wall Street.
Sounds good to me!
