Occupy Protesters Urge Obama To Stand Up Against Police Brutality: "At his speech in New Hampshire today, Occupy Wall Street protesters interrupted the president and urged him to take a stand against police brutality.
The protesters chanted, “Mr. President, over 4000 peaceful protesters have been arrested. While bankers continue to destroy the American economy,” they were then interrupted by Obama supporters, chanting the president’s name. Obama got control of the room before things went too crazy, and said, “Listen, I’m going to be talking about a whole range of things today, and I appreciate you guys making your point. Let me go ahead and make mine. I’ll listen to you. You listen to me.”
In a written statement the protesters said, “Over 4000 peaceful protesters have been arrested. While bankers continue to destroy the American economy. You must stop the assault on our 1st amendment rights. Your silence sends a message that police brutality is acceptable. Banks got bailed out. We got sold out.”..."
I do believe that our political leaders (for the most part) should stay out of the OWS movement. But the fact that nothing has been said about the police brutality is pretty pathetic. We condemn other nations for it, and now we're doing it ourselves. Egypt has also justified their police brutality because they see how our police is treating the OWS protestors.
If you want to see how hypocritical our officials are being, watch this video:

That is great. I saw the clip of the President.
I wish that they had let OWS finish what they were saying. And I wish Obama would speak up against police brutality. It is great though, it shows that we're willing to mic check anybody if they go against what the American people want.
The President was great, he said he would listen and then they could listen.
Yeah I liked that too.
