Motivated In Ohio: What are the Republicans giving us for Christmas?-...: "The Christmas tree is up,  the lights are hung, the ornaments carefully placed.  It is the season of Christmas. The Republicans may be giving us a gift of a tax hike. Rather than raise the taxes on people who are most able to afford it, they are allowing the payroll tax to raise rather than keep it at its present level for another year. The other alternative they have presented, is to cut even more services in these difficult times rather than bother a few millionaires and billionaires with a little bit of taxes...."
