Republicans Show Their Holiday Spirit By Demanding Billions In Health Care Cuts
Republicans Show Their Holiday Spirit By Demanding Billions In Health Care Cuts: "The Christmas season is allegedly about giving without an expectation of recompense. In politics, representatives are not expected to give gifts to their constituents, but they are expected ensure that every citizen has opportunities to prosper without sacrificing something to a few wealthy elites. Republicans opposed the payroll tax cut extension last week, but they expressed interest in supporting the extension on Friday. The people they are going to be picking on the most are going to be the vulnerable seniors in Nursing homes. They are heartless.
Nursing homes are already understaffed as it is. The fact that they're doing this makes me wonder how anyone can justify voting for them.
I don't understand it. They hate union jobs where people can take care of their families, and they hate people who get assistance. People need both. Especially people in nursing homes. What a tragedy.
You make a lot of good points Mio.
