"If the United States is supposed to uphold "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" how can a sick or dying person without health care have these rights."
~Motivated In Ohio
"Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must - must - redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent healthcare is by definition re-distributional."
~Donald Berwick

Criminal Probe Closes In as FBI Raids the Home of Gov Scott Walker’s Top Aide
Criminal Probe Closes In as FBI Raids the Home of Gov Scott Walker’s Top Aide: "Hauling a banker’s box among other times out of her home, about a dozen law enforcement officers including the Milwaukee FBI raided Cindy Archer’s Madison home yesterday, after arriving with a battering ram in the early hours of the morning. The FBI is investigating allegations that staffers of Walker’s worked on his campaign on the county dime while he was running for governor.
This investigation may be a part of the “John Doe” investigation which already resulted in two felony violations resulting in the conviction of William Gardner, the president and CEO of Wisconsin & Southern Railroad Co, and which we reported on here months ago indicated that a criminal probe into Walker’s campaign was imminent.
Here is your criminal probe; it was unsurprisingly in the works already pre-Gardner news. Justice takes her sweet time...."

Recall Fraud: Wisconsin Democrats Accuse Republicans of Vote Tampering
Recall Fraud: Wisconsin Democrats Accuse Republicans of Vote Tampering: "As Yogi Berra once said it’s déjà vu all over again as for Wisconsin Democrats as they allege that the Waukesha County clerk is once again tampering with votes to hand an election to the Republicans.
Here is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate,
The race to determine control of the Wisconsin Senate has fallen in the hands of the Waukesha County clerk, who has already distinguished herself as incompetent, if not worse. She is once more tampering with the results of a consequential election and in the next hours we will determine our next course of action. For now, Wisconsin should know that a dark cloud hangs over these important results...."

Gov. Walker's Election Day Surprise?
Gov. Walker's Election Day Surprise? "Right now the people of Wisconsin are headed to the polls in six state Senate districts to reject Gov. Walker’s extreme agenda and his unprecedented assault on Wisconsin’s working, middle-class families.
But it seems that Gov. Walker may have an Election Day surprise for Wisconsin voters that he hopes will allow Republicans to hold onto power regardless of the outcome of today’s historic recall elections.
Gov. Walker made a deliberate decision to have redistricting be decided on Election Day when he called the legislative Republicans’ plan up on August 4th. Thanks his own decision, Gov. Walker now has until the end of the day to sign or to veto his party’s divisive and partisan redistricting maps that would crush our democracy and attempt to monopolize power on all levels of state government so the Republicans can avoid accountability for the next decade...."
